The Westchase subdivision is a type of building development commonly referred to as a PUD, or Planned Unit Development. Westchase was designed with the grouping of both varied and compatible land use. Housing, recreation, commercial centers, and schools are all within the subdivision. Construction began in Westchase in the 1990s. It’s a 2,000-acre master-planned community that offers an 18-hole public golf course; two swimming and tennis centers; multiple parks; playgrounds; picnic pavilions; and nature trails.
I remember seeing the model homes in the Westchase subdivision when I visited Florida on vacation before moving here from New York. Back then, a friend from high school relocated to Tampa and brought me to see Westchase. I purchased my own home in Westchase in 2003 when I moved to Florida. Each area in Westchase is divided into sections, and I picked The Fords as my home. The subsections of The Fords include Abbotsford, Brentford, Castleford, Kingsford and Stamford. And most sections of the Westchase subdivision are similarly divided. Some of these sections are also gated. The Greens is the only section with a 24-hour manned gate. And there are several other sections with automated gates.
David Weekley’s new homes in Westchase
David Weekley, one of my favorite builders, is developing housing in Westchase. Central Living by David Weekley Homes is now building in the Reserve at West Park Village. And there are three-story townhouses available in the low-to-mid $300,000s. The Reserve at West Park Village offers new homes for what is a rare (and likely) final opportunity to buy a new home in the coveted subdivision of Westchase.
Most new home buyers don’t realize they can use a buyer’s agent to help them find their perfect home. And David Weekley’s sale representatives will work with a buyer’s agent. Using a buyer’s agent doesn’t change the price of the house. And as a buyer’s agent, I help my clients get their dream home built just the way they want it, from conception to construction.
